With a background in teaching, education research, human rights and marketing, Ellen serves as a strategist and storyteller for various progressive causes. Over the years, she has led major messaging campaigns and rebrands for environmental, economic, human rights, civil rights and social justice campaigns. Some of her favorite recent clients include URGE, Human Rights First, Waterkeepers Chesapeake, Roosevelt Institute, Flamboyan Foundation, Episcopal Relief & Development, Call To Action, Longwood University and the National Brain Tumor Society. Prior to her current role as lead strategist at Provoc, Ellen led Free Range Studio’s branding department, taught in DC public and charter schools, and worked for several local and international human rights organizations. She earned her master’s degree in education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and degrees in music and English from University of Maryland.
